Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a game?

Pick the game mode, add your teams (with name, color, age range, and number of players), choose language, country, and categories, set the rounds and time, and start playing. All teams take turns on the same device.

What's the difference between the two modes?

In One at a time you get one clue per turn: you play, the timer runs, and you confirm whether they guessed it. In Nonstop guessing the clock never stops and clues appear one after another; you mark each hit or miss until time runs out.

Can I swap a clue I don't like?

Yes. Before starting the turn you can tap "Swap" to replace the clue with another from the same category.

Where do the clues come from?

Clues are tailored to the age range, country, language, and categories you choose. When we don't have enough for your configuration, we generate new clues automatically so there's always variety.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Mimikai fetches and generates clues from our server, so you need an internet connection to create and play a game.

Is my data private?

You don't need an account to play. To run the game, our server processes the configuration you choose — team names, colors, age ranges, country, language, categories, and scores. We don't ask for your email, phone number, or location. Avoid using real names as team names. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
